G-Scale Locomotives

Roll-EZ offers a wide variety of locomotive from USA Trains and Bachmann.

A Diesel Locomotive is a type of railway locomotive in which the prime mover is an actual diesel engine. Several types of diesel locomotives have been developed, differing in the way mechanical power is conveyed to the driving wheels.

A Steam Locomotive is a locomotive that obtains its primary power from a steam engine. The most common form of steam locomotive contains a boiler to heat water to generate steam used by the engine. The water in the boiler is heated by burning combustible material – usually coal, wood, or oil in order to produce the steam.

An electric locomotive is a locomotive powered by electricity from overhead lines, a third rail or on-board energy storage such as a battery or supercapacitor.
